What is the energy flow in an ecosystem?

 

In very natural ecosystem, sunlight is the energy that flows through the ecosystems of the world aand travels in one simple direction in a system.

The Sunlights energy enters the ecosystem through the process photosynthesis and is obtained by producers. Then this energy is provided to herbivores/ 1st order consumers when they eat the plant. Carnivores obtain the energy from eating their prey. Omnivores gather their energy from plants and other animals. Then the energy is collected by the decomposers.
